ConsigliOctober 2, 2020 A CNEL law proposal suggests extending the PEC obligation also to motorists to simplify communications with the PA and receive communications relating to violations committed electronically. Potherwise we should say goodbye to the much feared green envelopes of traffic fines. Among the provisions of the reform of the Highway Code being discussed in Parliament, there is also the proposal presented by CNEL, the National Council of Economy and Labour, to make the PEC mandatory for all motorists. If the proposal is approved, the traffic fine Special Data will no longer arrive in paper format but will be electronic and will arrive via Certified Email. PEC mandatory for motorists Obliging motorists to equip themselves with PEC has been discussed for some time, at least for a year, even if at the moment the proposal has never become law. Now that from 1 October the obligation to communicate their PEC (digital domicile) address to the Company Registry has been extended to all businesses and professionals, it is likely that this obligation will also be extended to other categories.
