Legal regulations classify entrepreneurs according to their size i.e. employment and annual net turnover. To protect the interests of smaller entities concluding commercial transactions with entities with the status of large entrepreneurs the legislator obliged large entities to submit an appropriate declaration. What is a declaration of the status of a large entrepreneur and what is its function? What are the consequences for ignoring this obligation? Definition of a big entrepreneur The principles of classifying entrepreneurs according to size are defined in the Act of March Entrepreneurs' Law. In art. of the Act definitions of micro entrepreneur small entrepreneur and medium sized entrepreneur appear.
Thus an entrepreneur is considered a micro entrepreneur who in at least one of the last two financial years met the following conditions employed less than employees on average per year and achieved an annual net turnover from the sale of goods products and Email Marketing List services and from financial operations not exceeding the equivalent EUR million in PLN or the total assets of its balance sheet prepared at the end of one of these years did not exceed the PLN equivalent of EUR million.
However in at least one of the last two financial years a small entrepreneur met the following two conditions employed less than employees on average per year and achieved an annual net turnover from the sale of goods products and services and from financial operations not exceeding the PLN equivalent of EUR million or the total assets of its balance sheet prepared at the end of one of these years did not exceed the PLN equivalent of EUR million. A medium sized entrepreneur is an entrepreneur who is not a micro entrepreneur or a small entrepreneur but in at least one of the last two financial years he met the following conditions.
